Michael Temme started his opera cereer at the age of 13 as an extra at the Hanover opera house. During his career he has worked successfully for 12 years as freelance director and taught more than 20 years at the University of Music in Vienna.
Michael Temme is the kind of director who is faithful to the work and its creator's intentions. His primary concern is to give young singers all the necessary know-how for their careers on stage: the convincing presentation of vocalised content.

In 2009 Michael Temme retired - at his own request - from the University of Music in Vienna in order to intensify his work work on international opera projects with students and young singers.
